Job description
Ionic Group is building the next generation of global gaming products at the intersection of Gaming, Fintech, Media, and AI, and we are hiring a Frontend Casino Game Developer with deep experience in PixiJS to help deliver high-performance, visually rich casino games. This role focuses on building responsive, real-time game interfaces that run smoothly across desktop and mobile environments.
You will work closely with game designers, artists, and backend engineers to transform game concepts and visual assets into production-ready experiences. You will be responsible for implementing animations, game logic, UI interactions, and performance optimizations using PixiJS and modern JavaScript tooling. This role requires a strong understanding of rendering pipelines, animation systems, and browser performance constraints.
As part of Ionic Group’s venture studio model, you will contribute to multiple gaming products at different stages of development. You should be comfortable working in fast-moving environments, adapting to evolving requirements, and delivering high-quality code that supports scalability, maintainability, and long-term live operations.
Skill / Experience Requirements
- Proven experience developing casino or real-time games using PixiJS
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills
- Solid understanding of 2D rendering, animation loops, and game performance
- Experience integrating frontend games with backend APIs
- Familiarity with browser performance optimization techniques
- Ability to work closely with designers and artists to implement visual assets
- Experience shipping and maintaining live games
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
What you will do
Develop and maintain frontend casino games using PixiJS and modern JavaScript frameworks. Implement game mechanics, animations, UI interactions, and visual effects with a focus on performance and responsiveness. Integrate game logic with backend APIs and real-time data services. Collaborate with artists to implement 2D assets accurately and efficiently. Optimize rendering, memory usage, and load times across devices. Debug and resolve frontend performance and gameplay issues. Contribute to reusable components and shared systems across multiple games.
Job responsibilities
You will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality frontend casino game experiences using PixiJS. You will translate game designs and visual concepts into interactive, production-ready code while ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
